I was born into an Air Force family, growing up on bases from Idaho to Puerto Rico. Blessed with a mother who encouraged my creativity, I was always drawing, painting, or sculpting as a child. As I entered the job market I created opportunities for myself and became Assistant Art Director with a very successful printing company at the age of 24. But my enthusiasm for a "career" lost steam as a better job presented itself - motherhood. Soon, peanutbutter-and-jelly sandwiches with my little boy were tastier than any Power Lunch, and I happily became a stay-at-home mom doing "art jobs" as they came up.
Eventually, I picked up a paintbrush and began painting the things that surrounded my family's Ohio horse farm. I marketed those little folkart paintings to several stores in Ohio and Pennsylvania, and soon was "discovered" by Penny Lane Publishing. You can now find my images on prints, wallpaper, flags, greeting cards, textiles, and many, many more items.
I live on the beautiful Cumberland Plateau in Tennessee with my husband and hero, Norman. We are extremely proud of our four fabulously funny and very creative children - Stephen, an actor and comedy writer; our beautiful daughter Callan, a very talented artist and writer; Ralf, a Visual Effects & Motion Graphics Artist; and our youngest, Christian, who wants to be an animator.
